Isla Grande has some of the Best Waves in Panama!

Long lines of breaking waves swell on to a coastline of impeccable Caribbean beauty, with consistent swells pushing from the Atlantic. A pristine portion of the coastline of Panama with very few surfers here year round, making it the perfect spot for adventurous surfing in Panama.

One of the most famous breaks at Isla Grande lies just to the northeast of the island, with 3 separate peaks on beautifully transparent water.

The reef is visible below the water and makes for striking comparisons, although the break is for those with some experience at surfing in Panama. Surrounding beaches such as Maria Chiquita and Cacique also have some great swells, without crowds and in some of the most perfect scenery of the Caribbean.
